How can I automatically assign a drawer, since we only use 1 drawer?

If you only use a single drawer, and you don't want to track openning and
closing of a drawer, you can use Simple Drawwer setup. On the Settings tab,
under Register, make sure you only have 1 active drawer, and select th "use
simple cash drawer" check box.
This will automatically assign this drawer to all tickets, and keep the
drawer open even after applying the Z process. You do not have to select the
drawer when logging in, so you will want to use this option is you have set
to automatically login as well.

How do I change the date on a ticket, in the event I want to close a ticket for another day?

When you close a ticket, you can set the closing date via the Change Date
button. If you are closing a ticket from the Daily Schedule, and you have
changed dates to yesterday for example, the default date for the ticket
wilol be the date you are viewing from the calender. In this example, it
will close the ticket for yesterday's date, and be included on all sales for
yesterday's date.

My tool bar is too long, or I can't see the Logout button any more.

If you change your computer's desktop font size, to Large Fonts, it will
cause the toolbar to be extended. Right click on your desktop background,
select Properties, then Appearance Tab. Change Font Size to Normal.

Can I copy the software for use at home?

Yes, you can install the software at home as well. Salon Operations is
licensed for copy, but we also allow you to install the software on an
additional machine at home. Actually, it is very easy for you to make a back
of your database, and restore it at home as well. This will allow you to
train or view the data at home. However, this method does not allow you to
edit or update the data at the store. Any changes are made locally and are
not applied at the store. If you would like online access to your store from
home, please contact us for instruction on how to do this.

What is the password, when I start up the program for the first time?

The default password is "password" without the quotes. There should have been an intro dialog that reminds you of the password. Once you are in the program, you can change the master password to something else.
